What is Business Coaching?
Business coaching is a structured, supportive partnership –
designed to help you get better results
in both your business and your life.
How does coaching differ from consulting or mentoring?
It’s a question I get asked a lot:
What’s the actual difference between coaching and consulting?
And here’s how I usually explain it…
What does a business coach actually do?
A “business coach” can mean all sorts of things to different people.
So let me break it down.
A business coach helps you step back,
get clear,
and make better decisions –
about your business, your team, and your role as the leader.
What can I expect from coaching?
Coaching isn’t a magic wand.
But it is a powerful process
designed to help you change.
Because that’s what it’s really about – change.
Moving from where you are
to where you want to be.
How do I know if coaching is right for me or my team?
First and foremost –
coaching only works if there’s a real desire to change.
A willingness to step back,
be honest,
and do something different.
If that’s there –
then yes, coaching can help.
What types of challenges can coaching help with?
I work with people for all sorts of reasons –
but here are the ones I hear most:
They want to grow,
but don’t know how to scale without breaking things.
They feel like they’ve lost control of the business.
How do you find out what my challenges are?
The first step is an Alignment Session.
It’s a relaxed, face-to-face conversation –
usually at our office in Chelmsford –
where we get everything out on the table.
Is coaching only for business owners?
No – not at all.
While most of the people I work with are business owners,
coaching is just as powerful for leaders,
managers,
and key team members.
What size does my business need to be for coaching?
There’s no ‘right’ size –
it’s about where you are in your journey.
I’ve coached people two years before they even launched…
and others running multi-million-pound companies for many years.
